POPPI the puppy is a gentle giant with a personality to match.
At 16 weeks of age, the Dogue de Bordeaux (French Mastiff) already weighed in at 20 kilograms and she was expected to grow to more than 60 kilograms.
Poppi fills the home of Kaiah Biggs, 10, and his family with her annoying antics and sweet nature.
Kaiah’s mum Kelley Herbert said Poppi was a special addition to the family.
“Poppi is named after the kids’ grandad, their Poppy, who passed away at Christmas time. Poppi chose us, really. She’s quiet and docile. And she’s a lot like my dad – she’s annoying like him sometimes, too, and she keeps the kids occupied,” she said.
