It could be called the friendliest of equine sports and the atmosphere of Beaudesert Campdraft would be testament to that.

A uniquely Australian sport, campdrafting requires where a rider to cut out a steer or heifer from six to ten the cattle in the ‘camp’ and bring that beast to the front of the camp.

The rider then calls for the gate to be opened and attempts to guide the beast around a set course.

It is a sport that all ages compete in and is known as a family friendly event.

Spectators enjoyed this uniquely Australian event at Beaudesert Showgrounds during April.
