Archie and Shadow the 15-week-old blue cattle dog pups were meant to be with Peta and Andy Rose.
When the Beaudesert Bulletin met the sweet brother and sister puppies, they had been part of the Rose family for about three weeks.
They were all tuckered out after a morning of playing around, but there were still games of bitey face to be had.
Here’s what Andy had to say about Archie (also known as Archibald) and Shadow: “They’re just so playful and they seem to be quite receptive to training – they’re very intelligent. Our main focus is to make them social dogs,” he said.
“We lost Molly, our 16-year-old cattle dog kelpie cross, about six weeks ago. Peta said she didn’t want another one but then we saw these. We only went to get one, but Peta was convinced they were both looking at us as if to say, ‘take us both’, so we ended up taking them both.”
