Hayden Griffin was awarded the Kent Taylor Memorial Trophy for Junior Player of the Year at Beaudesert & District Tennis Association’s presentation night.
Hayden, who has been playing tennis at Beaudesert since he was in Prep, has been playing up in age against the adults for some time.
Beaudesert is Hayden’s home club and he is very proud to be involved, said Hayden’s mother, Lauren Griffin.
He has also been training at Platinum Tennis in Nerang for the past five years.
Other special Junior Awards were the Sean Frieberg Perpetual Trophy which went to Finn Waugh and Scenic Rim Discount Drug Store sponsored Trophy for Most Improved Junior which went to Samuel Dyba.
All tennis juniors were presented with a Participation Certificate and Club Medallion for 2023.
The Club will hold their 2024 Club Open and Sign-on Day on Sunday 21 January 2024.

Life membership for outstanding commitment
Beaudesert & District Tennis Club finished their 2023 season with a rare life membership awarded to one of their dedicated players.
Jason Taylor was presented with Beaudesert & District Tennis Association’s Lifetime Membership Award.
Club Secretary, Lauren Griffin said this award is not presented often and was awarded to Jason in recognition of his outstanding loyalty and consistent dedication to the Beaudesert & District Tennis Association over many decades.
The Association also farewelled Club Coach Tim Fitzgerald on the night. A new coach will be with the Club in 2024.
All Tennis Juniors were presented with a Participation Certificate and Club Medallion for 2023.
