The Beaudesert Sporting Clays course was buzzing when over 100 shooters gathered for their two day shooting event.

Club President, Dan Davis said many shooters used the event as a lead up for the Queensland State Selection Shoot the following weekend, making it an attractive event for people from across South East Queensland.

“We had 58 on Saturday and 55 on Sunday shooting 75 clays each – it was a busy couple of days,” he said.

Local shooters performed strongly, with Daniel Mckiernan the ‘High Gun’ overall winner.

Davis was third in AA Grade on Saturday and Sunday, and Beaudesert took a trifecta in the A Grade competition both days with Martin Scott, Rangi Kerehoma and Bronson Barden first, second and third respectively on Saturday and Scott, Bronson Barden and Daniel Mckiernan taking the top three places on Sunday.

The Club has some very talented juniors who took out first, second and third in the Junior competition.  Jack Davis, Georgia Rogers and Luca Goodchild achieved these rankings for their Club on Saturday and Chris Christensen in first place on Sunday.
