The pursuit for true love has led former Beaudesert High student, Sarah Carey, to many places and unfortunately for her, most times they have just ended up being disappointing dead ends.

Sarah has been searching for her special person for years and in her latest attempt to find “Mr Right” she has gone public.

And you’ll be able to share Sarah’s love journey by simply switching onto the Channel Seven hit series “Farmer Wants a Wife”.

After a friend told her she’d be a perfect candidate, Sarah gave into her curiosity and had a peek at the show’s bachelors for this year. After seeing Farmer Joe, she felt she had to give it a go.

The decision to apply was one she thought carefully about. Sarah was only interested in entering the reality TV world if she could find a genuine connection with someone, and the show’s good track record for this appealed to her.

“The show’s success ratings and the values of finding, you know, real love. And that’s obviously what I was looking for” she said.

All reality shows come with public scrutiny, and this high rating program is no different.

Sarah’s not bothered by the impending attention, saying she felt she’s held onto her integrity through the series.

“I wasn’t overly concerned about how I might come across because I thought I had stayed true to myself”.

No stranger to farm life, Sarah grew up on a cattle farm in NSW, before settling in Biddaddaba on a horse property.

Sarah said her country upbringing prepared her for living on Joe’s cattle and sheep farm in Bombala, NSW.

A down to earth country girl at heart, the last thing Sarah planned on was entering a reality dating show.

“I never, ever even considereddoing something like this” she shares.

Whether or not Sarah finds her happily ever after on the farm, she’s walking away with an open heart and mind.

“I think as long as you’re leading from a place of kindness, and something that’s true from your heart, you can’t really go wrong. So I think I’ve really learned to just do everything with a glass half full, and with compassion”.

Does Sarah’s story have a happy ending?

You’ll just have to wait and see.
