A Beaudesert team has taken out the prestigious Business Ladies Pennants held at Burleigh Golf Club. The competition, held between Clubs that are affiliated with the Gold Coast District, commenced in 1977.
It was originally called Business Girls Inter-Club Teams Match. Beaudesert first won the event in 1988, then again in 2013 and were victors again on Sunday 28th March. The teams are made up of eight players, with five of those players competing each week, playing a different course on the Gold Coast and Beaudesert.
Beaudesert team caption Jo Antcliff said the Beaudesert team played exceptionally well and were very determined to bring home the shield for 2021. “This is a great testament and successful story for the Beaudesert Golf Club and the Ladies that competed.” “We were both elated and exhausted all at the same time,” she said.
