Beaudesert Bowls Club’s recent tournament was a tight contest between teams last weekend.
The winners of the Ladies’ Open Fours were Ros Lahey, Barbara Short, Anne Andrews and Coral Day.
Their opponents Barbara Maxwell, Nancy Parker, Daphne Harlem and Annette Much, led the match for most of the day.
Heading into the last end, Annette’s team was one ahead.
Coral’s team had an opportunity to take the win with their last bowl, which proved the match winner, when she moved the shot bowl and won the day by one.
Beaudesert Bowls Club member, Fay Hines said the weekend was enjoyed by everyone in attendance.
“The matches were extremely close, and everyone played extremely well”, she said.
The other matches on the weekend were the Men’s B Final which was won by Chris Skipp 26-21 against Dennis Crumblin and the Men’s B Pairs final which was won by Ken Davis and Klaus Rudzitis.
The next tournament at Beaudesert Bowls is the Autumn Carnival Week, which will include a Men’s Two Day Carnival, Men’s Pairs, Ladies’ Triples and Mixed Pairs.
The Autumn Carnival is on between 23 April and 30 April.
