The Winter Harvest Festival has a new location – the stunning village of Kalbar – and it’s now part of a full weekend of harvest activities from June 28 to 30.
The Winter Harvest Festival is the signature event of Scenic Rim Eat Local Month, where Food Ambassador chefs join growers, producers and flavour-makers in celebrating where our food comes from.
There’s demonstrations, over 60 stalls and local shops to wander, tasting and sipping stations to graze, the World Famous Tractor Pull, and there’s incredible new events, flavours and faces – plus of course, Moffatt’s famous Carrot Ice Cream and Carrot Tossing!
The new Winter Harvest Weekend kicks off with a Friday night Winter Harvest Dinner at The Roadvale Hotel hosted by Scenic Rim Food Ambassador Chef Daniel Groneberg.
On Saturday June 29 it’s the day-long Winter Harvest Festival celebrating the joy of harvest produce with over 60 stalls and featuring the legendary Tractor Pull event alongside a wonderful new experience, the Celebration of Lost Culinary Arts.
On Saturday night it’s the Harvest Hoedown featuring the region’s country music star Laura Frank, and on Sunday, 5th generation farmers Valley Pride Produce will welcome foodies to harvest fresh, seasonal goodies on their farm at Harvest with the Farmer, and The Progressive Paddock will be hosted by Scenic Rim Food Ambassador Ash Martin in the stunning grounds of the Scenic Rim Farm Shop & Cafe.
Winter Harvest Festival is proudly presented by Scenic Rim Regional Council, with support from Major Partner Moffatt Fresh Produce, and Supporting Partners Kalfresh Vegetables, Urban Utilities, Community Bank Kalbar, Queensland Hire, Brisbane Economic Development Agency and ABC Radio Brisbane.
