A Beaudesert woman has unwrapped the ultimate birthday gift while celebrating with her family and friends at her local club – a special $82,000 Keno win.

The Club’s member scored the Keno Classic Eight Spot jackpot in draw 434, drawn Thursday May 2 with a total prize of $82,500.

Her birthday surprise started with waiting for her car to get serviced when she decided to pop into The Club Beaudesert to put on a Keno ticket and pass the time.

She was over the moon after an official from Keno confirmed the news.

“Thank you, I’m very happy! I couldn’t believe it. It’s my birthday and I was out and about, waiting for my car to be serviced,” she said.

“I decided to walk in with some family and friends, and I treated myself to a game of Keno. Next thing I knew, I had won $82,000 – out of all the days I could’ve won.”

The victorious woman shared that her winnings could potentially go towards a family holiday.

“I called my husband earlier and told him to stop what he’s doing at work because we’ll get the family around in the board room and talk about the win and life,” she said.

“We’ll have a special dinner and celebrate; it’s changed the day around – it’s certainly enough for a nice family holiday.”

The Club Beaudesert Chief Executive Officer, Sharon Cullen, was overjoyed that a member had taken home a major Keno prize winning entry.

“Everyone at the club was happy for the member who had scored the jackpot prize in Keno. It was also her birthday, which is a great way to celebrate,” Sharon said.

“It’s been a while since we’ve had a Keno jackpot; we’re really happy that we could sell a major Keno prize winning entry and hopefully it is the start to many more wins to come.”

“To our winner, we hope you had a wonderful birthday and a big congratulations,” Sharon added.

Since this celebration, another The Club Beaudesert member scored a Keno win of over $10,000.
