Tamborine Mountain Emergency Services Open Day

By Olivia Schoenauer

Tamborine Mountain Rural Fire Brigade will host its annual Emergency Services Open Day on July 19.

The open day is a great opportunity for the community to engage with the local fire brigade and learn important safety skills.

There will be demonstrations from Queensland Fire and Rescue teams, including bushfire awareness and a road crash demonstration.

The open day isn’t just about fire and rescue and will feature a range of emergency services and agencies.

Queensland Ambulance, Queensland Police, the State Emergency Service, and Queensland Parks and Wildlife will all have displays or demonstrations.

Emergency service vehicles will be on show for the kids, along with plenty of activities for the whole family.

Food and drinks will be available, with all the day’s proceeds going to the Emergency Service Cadets.

It is an important community day to raise awareness of the crews and services that risk their lives to keep the community safe.

The open day will be held at the Tamborine Mountain Fire Station, 126 Western Road, Tamborine Mountain from 10am to 2pm.
