The Centre, Beaudesert is home to a myriad of beautiful artwork in the new Connections to Place exhibition.

This features two significant exhibitions about place and human response to and relationship with place.

Running Rivers: Pigments of Place features more than 50 artworks by Beechmont artist Kuweni Dias Mendis.

Small Treasures 22: Place, is a group exhibition of exceptional small artworks, fine craftworks and merchandise which reflect a sense of place.

Beaudesert artist  Waylene Currie has a range of artwork on display, from the striking eagle on canvas to several quirky homewares pieces.

Several of Waylene’s pieces have been airbrushed with automotive paint, giving them a distinctive sparkling effect in the right light.  This can be seen using the light from your phone’s torch.

Other artists in the exhibition include: Claire Beck, Therese Flynn-Clarke, Colleen Lavender, Twisted Murf, Jenny Stuart and Stephanie Wernick.

Connections to Place is open Tuesday to Friday from 10am to 4pm and Saturday from 10am to 2pm at The Centre, Beaudesert until 17 December.
