Our Little Shop opened in the midst of the COVID pandemic and celebrated their first birthday on 12 June.

Owner Jacqui Stefan says she has been very grateful for the support from customers.

“I think people are just happy that they’ve got something in town that is a little bit different.  There’s a bit of everything there and the feedback I’ve had is there are a lot of things here that they can’t get elsewhere.”

“The pandemic has made a difference in small towns as well because people would rather stay local if they could.”

Jacqui has built the stock in Our Little Shop around the feedback from customers.

“I always said the shop was going to show me what direction it wanted to go in and the women’s clothing has been a big demand.”

She has a wide range of women’s fashion with a range of styles in stock to suit most body types and ages.

Our Little Shop also stocks babies’ clothing, gifts and homewares, including a lot of locally made products.

Jacqui worked at the Toyota dealership in Beaudesert for ten years before deciding to open Our Little Shop.

“I’ve always had a dream to open my own shop up in Beaudesert and Our Little Shop is the reality of that dream,” Jacqui said.

Leaving a stable job to work for herself was a risk, but the one that has worked well for her and for Beaudesert.

“I just want to thank everyone,” she said.

“Without everyone’s support, from their kind words  … when you’re second guessing yourself and thinking ‘have I done the right thing’, because I left a good job.”

“Then you get this positive feedback and I know I have done the right thing.”

A birthday celebration was held at the shop on Friday 10 June.

Our Little Shop is located at 13A William Street, Beaudesert.
