What Susie Saw

Backyard citrus is really coming into bloom right now, isn’t it?

Our mandarin tree is full of blossoms, and there are some flowers on the Tahitian lime, cumquat, lemon, orange and finger lime trees.

It’s exciting to think about how much fruit we might harvest this season. I think one of the most delightful things is to give and receive excess backyard produce, don’t you?

My friend Jae, founder of Beaudesert crop swap, is especially passionate about this topic and suggested spreading the word about sharing our excess via initiatives like Tracey’s Pantry, the Beaudesert library table and crop swap (fourth Friday of each month). Now that’s food for thought!
