Beaudesert Bowls Club has new Open Pairs Champions with Dave Eldridge and Rob Cus defeating Brian Marshall and Doug Ward in an entertaining game.
Marshall and Ward started the match in great form winning five of the first seven ends to lead 7-2.
After a slow start, Eldridge and Cus lifted their game to win the next five ends to lead 12-7.
The back end of the match was all one-way traffic as Eldridge and Cus dominated the match showing all their skills to take the title 20-10.
It was Eldridge and Cus’ second title for the year; they teamed up to win the Triples earlier in the year.
The winning pair represented Beaudesert in the Champion of Champions on the Gold Coast last Sunday, playing against premier league team Burleigh, losing on the last end 25-20.
