LOCAL women had plenty of time to celebrate with International Women’s Day events held across two weeks.
Scenic Rim Regional Council’s breakfast saw Olympic Gold and silver medallist swimmer, Brooke Hanson, inspire the crowd of 200 women and men at The Centre on Friday March 1.

Beaudesert Chamber of Commerce welcomed guest speaker Honni Hayton of Honni Hayton Counselling at their breakfast, held at Ned’s Restaurant.
Honni shared her journey of launching her business in response to a need for accessible and specialised mental health services.
Zonta Club of Beaudesert held a luncheon with guests hearing Bethwyn Todd’s story of overcoming hearing loss to rise to the top of her career in a male dominated industry.
Bethwyn grew up in Beaudesert and recently served as Vice President and Asia Pacific President of FMC Corporation.
She shared her passion for mentoring and developing talent and creating diverse, high performing organisations where employees grow to their full potential.
