On a beautiful sunny winter’s day, Beechmountain CWA members were happy to welcome members of the Duncan Family for morning tea and to celebrate the information sign that has been erected in the park at Lower Beechmont honouring the late Syd Duncan – the park’s namesake.
Syd was a well known and much loved pioneer in the Beechmont District.
Our branch was instrumental in getting this sign and the history acknowledged.
Thanks also to the Gold Coast City Council, the local history department and Cr Glenn Tozer for their efforts in making this happen.
