Members of the Canungra Men’s Shed gathered on June 27 to celebrate the organisation’s fifth birthday, reflecting on its growth and the role it plays in the local community.
Secretary Col Ford said the shed had become an important place for local men to connect.
“I think they all enjoy it. It gives them somewhere to go and have a chat with other blokes,” he said.
The celebration brought together current and founding members, with speeches recognising those who had helped establish and grow the shed over the past five years.
Mr Ford said the group had grown significantly since it first opened and welcomed anyone interested in getting involved.
“We’ve come a way in five years and we’re very proud of where it’s got to,” he said.
