IT’S NOT quite singing for your supper, but it’s not far off it.
Bendigo Bank’s annual Pitch Night will see community groups performing skits or ‘pitches’ for small grants for their organisations.
In previous years over funds have been used to fund a range of projects including the swim shirts provided by schools by Beaudesert Lions Club.
The groups are advised of their funding amount on the night.
Normally held in October, this Pitch Night, to be held on March 18, 2026, is a special opportunity for sporting or other community organisations to obtain funding for projects.
Canungra Community Bank Project Chairperson, Chris Watkins described Pitch Night as a fun opportunity to access funding and meet other local volunteer organisations.
“It is a great night with a lot of laughs,” Mrs Watkins said.
“Some groups put a lot of effort into developing skits each year.”
“As well as providing funding, the evening is an opportunity for groups to network and share ideas about their projects and how to fund them – we’ve seen some great results in the past.”
Groups are invited to submit a Pitch Night application form which can be obtained from Bendigo Bank’s Canungra branch.
