Beaudesert Hospital has debuted the installation of the new ‘Song Lines’ artwork during recent Closing the Gap (CTG) celebrations, leading the way in incorporating the beautiful design across the campus.

Facility Manager Margaret Wendt said the CTG event was the perfect opportunity to unveil the artwork and the important message that went with it.

“We chose to use the ‘gathering circles and song lines’ components of the Healing Places artwork as they tell the stories of First Nations Peoples, sharing their experiences and connections to the Healing Places (our hospitals),” she said.

Marg said she was proud to celebrate Beaudesert Hospital’s commitment to providing culturally safe healthcare in partnership with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

“During the celebrations, everyone enjoyed a traditional performance by the Mununjali Ngari Dance Troupe, followed by a warm Welcome to Country from Aunty Levina,” she said.
