The rare sight of cattle being driven by horseback through Rathdowney was welcomed by local residents and people passing through.
Approximately 100 head of cattle were driven from a property south of Rathdowney to the Royston property on the Lions Road.
Several locals took the opportunity to help out, enjoying the opportunity to visit a bygone era.
