People and their Pets – Poppy

Charles, Poppy and Jen Boyle
Charles, Poppy and Jen Boyle

Here is Poppy the old Jack Russell cross foxie and her owners Charles and Jen Boyle of Beaudesert.

The Boyles took Poppy in when she was eight years old. She’s still going strong at the ripe old age of 14, and they still love caring for her as much as the day they got her.

Poppy is very much part of the family and Charles and Jen’s kids Mhairi, Isla and Charlotte adore their little dog.

Here’s what Jen has to say about Poppy:

“She’s totally blind but still runs up the hill even though she can’t see a thing. She still loves getting a walk every day.”

Here’s what Charles has to say about Poppy:

“She had lots of attitude and had a few little nips at the girls, but she became the most loving little dog.”

People and their Pets is about celebrating the animal friends in our lives, whether they’re furry, feathered, reptilian, hoofed or pawed. If you’d like us to feature you and your pet, or tip us off about a great People and their Pets story, please get in touch via news@beaudesertbulletin.com.
