RAISING funds and awareness for prostate cancer will be the focus at the August 31 Jim MacGinley Memorial Tournament.
The Beauy Blue group are fundraising for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia at the annual polo day to celebrate the life of MacGinley – one of Australia’s best players and biggest advocates of the sport.
Beauy Blue President Julie Ferguson, who lost her husband to prostate cancer nine years ago, said it was an issue close to many people’s hearts.
“The Beauy Blue group encourages all men to make sure that they have the blood test to check on prostate cancer, because it has a great success rate if they catch it early,” she said.
