Elysium Village’s Christmas Lights Extravaganza is set to delight locals and visitors alike when it returns in December.

After being cancelled due to COVID restrictions in 2020, residents of the Over 50s Lifestyle Village are excited to welcome people to their Christmas wonderland again this year.

Sales Manager Dennis Ring said the idea of the Christmas Light Extravaganza came about when Neil and Denise Winter moved to Elysium.

“Neil wanted to continue with the Christmas lights they had been doing in their home, in honour of their daughter Tanya who had passed away,” he said.

When they moved to Elysium, the Neil and Denise brought their lights and Elysium spent over $20,000 on additional decorations, creating a Village-wide Christmas atmosphere every night from 1 December through to Boxing Day.

Sadly, Neil passed away earlier this year, but his wife Denise said he knew how important the Elysium Village Christmas Extravaganza is to local families.

“It has had a great following from the Beaudesert community,” said Denise.

“That’s why it was Neil’s wish for this to continue,” said Denise.

Entry is by gold coin donation and their is ample parking outside the Village.

Visitors are invited to walk through the Village to view the light displays, meet Santa and enjoy the festive atmosphere.

The Christmas Lights Extravaganza opens at 6.30pm on 1 December and is open every night from 6.30pm to 9pm until 26 December.
