Luke Bostock recently completed another milestone innings, hitting 65 runs not out.
The 15 year old has been playing tremendous cricket after also scoring 101 not out for Beaudesert in the LDCA Seniors Division back in December.
“I feel like I’ve had a really good season this year and training with the team has been great too,” he said.
Luke is no stranger to success in cricket, after playing in representative sides for Logan, South East Queensland and Pacific District School Sport.
“The season is nearly ending, and I’ll be heading into representative trials after that, so I am really excited,” he said.
Luke’s mum, Ky, believes Luke’s love for cricket shines through in the way he trains and plays.
“Luke doesn’t just show up and throw on the pads, he really loves cricket and I think that’s what helps him to train hard and play really well,” she said.
“His dad and I have always told our kids to do what you love, and to see him play really well with something he loves so much, just makes us really proud.”
Luke’s on field performances are on par with his off field participation within the club and with his club mates.
“Giving back to the Club is really important to me and I like attending the working bees and enjoy helping to support the Milo Kids when I can,” Luke said.
The Beaudesert Cricket Club is a huge supporter of Luke and his mum says he loves the Club just as much.
“His performances are a massive reflection on the support he has been given from the Club and from any coach he has been under”, she said.
“Everyone from the President Leigh Morgan to the young kids playing are so positive and supporting, and the Beaudesert Cricket Club is a great community to be a part of for us and Luke.”
