Beaudesert businesses excel at Awards Night

Beaudesert businesses picked up four out of 13 awards at the recent Scenic Rim Business Excellence Awards.

McAuley College were delighted to win the Excellence in Community Services award.

Principal Deidre Young said the school aims to care for and nurture students to enable them to go on and become valuable members of the Beaudesert community.

Popular steakhouse, Ned’s Restaurant was awarded the Most Outstanding New Business Award.  Owner James Parer said the award is a result of a great team effort by his staff.

Beaudesert Exhaust won the Excellence in Transport, Logistics, Manufacturing and Mining category.

Excellence in Trades and Construction went to Totally Flooring, Beaudesert which opened two years ago.

Other award winners were:

  • Tourism and Accommodation – Mount French Lodge.
  • Hospitality – Food and Dining – Picnic Real Food Bar.
  • Retail – My Country Escape.
  • Professional Services – Honni Hayton Counselling.
  • Agriculture – Aquis Farm.
  • Trainee/Apprentice of the Year Award – Kasey Payne. 
  • Regional Prosperity Highly Commended – Boonah State High School.
  • Regional Prosperity and Excellence in Business (20+ employees) – Plasvacc Pty Ltd.
