Sun caps, sunscreen and plenty of smiles were on show at the Beaudesert Bowls Club on April 16 as women across the region gathered for the 2026 Ladies Autumn Triples competition.
18 teams of three took to the green for two games, with Club Musgrave’s Kaye Abercromby, Patricia White and Lorraine Arnold emerging as champions.
The trio won both of their matches, finishing with a +25 margin.
Runners-up honours went to McKenzie Park’s Gail Baber, Vonnie Melville and Carmen French, who also secured two wins and a +16 margin.
Third place was claimed by another Club Musgrave team – Chris Siddaway, Veronica Blank and Claire Moloney – who finished with two wins and a +13 margin.
Rounding out the top four was the Beaudesert side of Gaye Blank, Angie Barrand and Robyn Schneider, who also won both games and recorded a +8 margin.
Beaudesert Bowls Club Ladies Games Director Sue Crumblin said it was great to see such a strong turnout and hopes participation will continue to grow.
“We’ve ended up with a good number of players today, which we’re really happy with,” she said.
“If we could get those numbers higher, it would be very good.”
Social Bowls is held at the Beaudesert Bowls Club on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 9am.
