Increased prizemoney and a big team of volunteers lifted the Canungra Hotel Rodeo to greater heights.
Canungra Show Society president, James Geiger said competitors travelled from around Australia to compete.
“We offered more prizemoney than before, which brought in high quality competitors,” Mr Geiger said.
He said the crowd was different to previous years.
“It was a younger crowd and they were very well behaved – I didn’t have to throw anyone out this year,” he joked.
“What a great community we have.
“It’s a massive event to run but we are getting a lot of volunteers and new committee members who make it all possible.”
