The Desert Skin & Beauty owner Kymberly Griffiths hosted her first exclusive VIP party on June 10 to showcase the newest edition of Venus Versa treatments in store, including a live demonstration of one of their new radio frequency devices.

Kymberly welcomed her guests to a calming atmosphere catered with light nibbles and homemade punch and a lucky door prize, gift bag and product discounts.

Most of the invited guests were locals who have been coming to Kymberly since she first opened.

“I think it is a real strength to have such a good beautician in town – Kymberly has that really relaxing, calming way, it’s truly lovely,” guest Debbie Richardson said.

“It’s lovely, she’s done a good job here. It’s a nice, relaxing environment – quality of service, it’s beautiful,” guest Selina Harding said.

Guest speaker Lachlan Fayn from Venus kicked off the night with a presentation about the Venus Versa, which is a multi-application platform that offers non-surgical solutions for signs of aging, acne, unwanted hair, skin damage, uneven texture, cellulite and wrinkles.

“We’re always evolving – if you’re coming in for a treatment, you’re going to have a result,” Lachlan said.

Stephanie Robinson was the volunteer model for the live demonstration where Kymberly conducted a BiBella treatment, one of the many treatments performed with the Venus Versa.

“It felt nice, it’s not that painful – [Kymberly] always makes me feel comfortable and she explains what she does,” Stephanie said.

Velma Richards was a guest on the night who had previously tried out the same treatment Stephanie had received.

“It was really good, I enjoyed it, and I felt my skin was really nice,” Velma said.

“I’ll come back and get more treatments for sure – Kymberly has fantastic hands,” Velma said.

Kymberly was pleased with how the night went and is hopeful that the new treatments will meet clientele needs and expectations.

“I was happy with the way the night went – you’ll see a difference if we did anything with the machine,” Kymberly said

“I hope that it allows people to confidently come into the salon and enjoy the professional treatments I have to offer.”
