Beaudesert Sporting Clays hosted the Queensland English Sporting Championship on 12 November, attracting shooters from across South-East Queensland.

Local man and Club Vice-President, Garth Hardgrave took first place in the C Grade event, with 55 shooters competing overall.

Strong field for local competition

The Queensland English Sporting Championship attracted a strong field of Clay Target shooters, including National Champion Michael Buttigieg.

The pairs competition was keenly contested in all grades, including the Juniors where Tamborine  Mountain’s Georgia Rogers took out first place one shot ahead of Christopher Christensen.

The High Gun was won by Michael Lucas with an impressive result of 92/100.

AA Grade was won by Dennis Dinte in a shoot off with Marty Scott.

Glen Graham achieved an outstanding result in the A Grade with 91/100.

Club Secretary, Belinda Scott said the Committee was grateful to volunteers and competitors who made the day very successful.
