Scenic Rim Regional Council is warning residents to be aware of scams phone calls.

Council has been made aware of local residents receiving phone calls from people who are stating they are calling from Council and are conducting a lifestyle survey, which appears to be a scam.

A Council spokesperson said that Scenic Rim Regional Council is not currently conducting a telephone survey. 

Council conducts its official community engagement through the Let’s Talk Scenic Rim website. If you wish to join the conversation, please go to https://letstalk.scenicrim.qld.gov.au/ to register.

If a member of the community is in doubt about the validity of a call from Council, please advise them to simply ask for the officer’s full name and call back on the main number, requesting to be connected with the Council officer they have been dealing with.
