Tamborine Mountain Men’s Shed Treasurer, Peter Huthnanace, presented Carlo’s IGA Store Manager, Karen Boyd, a hand-made wall plaque to acknowledge and thank IGA for the generous donation of over $2,000 from the store’s Community Chest program.
Having received a similar amount in an earlier Community Chest donation, Peter said that the Shed members very much appreciate that IGA, and particularly Karen, again selected the Shed as the donation recipient.
When making the donation, Karen said customer purchases of selected IGA products with cash-back offers, funds the Community Chest program.
Karen added that the Cavallaro Group has for many years supported local charities and gifts.
“Customers matter to our family-oriented business,” she said.
The plaque, which was manufactured at the Men’s Shed 88 Beacon Road workshop will be hung in a prominent place in the IGA store.
