Franklin Plumbing and Gas, Tamborine, has been selected as a finalist in the prestigious Australian Trades Small Business Champion Awards.
A locally owned and operated business, it is a finalist in the Plumber – Medium category.
The awards recognise the hard work by businesses in their local communities in generating employment for millions of Australians, as well as their contribution to the Australian economy.
“This recognition of our business is a testament to our commitment to excellence, dedication to our craft, and the unwavering support of our loyal customers,” said director John Franklin.
John, who grew up on his parents’ property at Rathdowney and attended Beaudesert State High School, has seen the business he started in 2016 grow to a team of eight, including his wife Emelie, Jade Gardner (office manager), Adam Lee (construction manager), Rhyce Sharp (maintenance manager), Max Wagner (plumber), Lachlan Bond (apprentice) and Lochlan McKeller (apprentice).
“From the very beginning, our goal has been to provide top notch plumbing services that not only meet but exceed the expectations of our clients. Being named a finalist in these awards is recognition of our ongoing efforts to set a benchmark for quality, professionalism, and innovation in the plumbing and gas industry,” said John.
“Clearly, this achievement would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of our skilled team who have contributed significantly to our success.
“It would also not have been possible without the trust and support of our customers. Their continued loyalty and faith in our services inspires us to continually improve and strive towards greatness. We are deeply grateful for the relationships we have built with them over the years.”
The award winners will be announced at Western Sydney Conference Centre, Penrith on 22 September in the largest and most celebrated event for Australian trades people in small business.
Franklin Plumbing and Gas has also been nominated in several categories for the 2023 Master Plumbers’ Association of Queensland awards, with the results to be announced on 6 October.
