Jimboomba Hornets Netball Club held their end of year Presentation Day and lunch at Beaudesert Bowls Club this month.
The younger Hornets enjoyed a bowls obstacle course designed by Beaudesert Bowls Club member Margaret Durante while the older members played competitive bowls under the tutelage of Beaudesert Bowls Club members.
Nine year old Evelyn Dennes said it was a fun day.
“It was good, fun, but hard because the because the balls are very heavy,” she said.
“Sometimes we have done the obstacle course but we also tried lawn bowls.”
Margaret has been encouraging younger people to try the sport, saying they are the future of the Bowls Club.
