Over $5,000 has been raised for the National Breast Cancer Foundation by local company Truck and Earth.

Organiser Em Tout said she was delighted with the result, which smashed her fundraising goal of $1,500.

“I want to make a real difference to Australians affected by breast cancer,” she said.

The National Breast Cancer Foundation is Australia’s leading not-for-profit organisation funding breast cancer research towards a vision of Zero Deaths from breast cancer.

The family run business put on a sausage sizzle, raffles and an auction to raise the $5,000.

Em thanked everyone who donated and was involved on the day for their generosity.

“I’m feeling pretty chuffed with mine and the whole town’s effort,” she said.

“It was a lot of hard work but it was all for a great cause in the end.”
