Lady the French Bullador (French bulldog cross Labrador) is a unique creature.
Lady, who is nearly 9 years old, came over from England with Albert and Anne Fawcett in September 2019 and loves her morning exercise around Beaudesert with Albert.
When Albert and Anne got Lady as an 8-week-old pup, she was nearly as big as her mother.
“These people with a pedigree female French bulldog took her to people with a pedigree male French bulldog but they also had a pedigree show champion Labrador, and a litter of pups like Lady came out,” Albert said.
“She’s cheeky – a woman was lying on a park bench and Lady took the sandwich out of her hand, and another time some students were playing badminton and she ran off with the shuttlecock and they had to bribe her with a sausage to get it back.”
Anne said Lady – who she affectionately calls, ‘Her Ladyship’ was full of quirks.
“Labradors will eat anything, and as a puppy she used to eat pebbles and then regurgitate them, so we had a pyramid of pebbles in the middle of the mat,” she said.
