Donna Thomas and Sarah McNamara, pictured at the Beaudesert Community Kindergarten food stall at the Beaudesert Show, were among many community volunteers who were glad to have their local show back, particularly for the significant fundraising opportunity the event provides.
“It’s the major fundraiser for our community kindy, and the kindy has been doing their fundraiser at Beaudesert Show for about 30 years – we’ve really missed it the last two years,” said Donna.
Community groups at the Beaudesert Show included Beaudesert Scouts (donuts), Jimboomba Scouts (pavlova), Beaudesert Rotary (burgers and chips), St Mary’s Parish (cakes, sweets, tea and coffee), Beaudesert Baptist Church (free tea, coffee and sweets), Darlington State School (pies, sausage rolls, hot dogs), Beaudesert Community Kindergarten (steak burgers and chips) and Beaudesert Swimming Club (bar).
