Dylan Biggs lost his Australian Super Welterweight title to Nikita Tszyu in a brutal five round battle, ending in a TKO.

Biggs overcame major challenges in the weeks leading up to the fight. He looked to be in control in the first round after dropping Tszyu in the opening minutes.

“He got me with a straight right,” Tszyu said.

“And rattled me.”

Tszyu dominated in the fourth before a punch to Biggs’ liver in the fifth brought the bout to an end.

Biggs and his trainer Justin O’Leary thanked the Beaudesert community for their support.

“It meant a lot to see the town come together and show their support for Dylan in the lead up to this fight,” said O’Leary.

Biggs will go up a weight level in 2024 and fight as a middleweight.

“He is still growing and we think the increase in weight will be beneficial for him,” said O’Leary.
