A DECISION to keep Beaudesert Pool open until the end of April is bringing joy to locals.
Many pool users have been eager for an extension and Pool Lease Holder Mick Kajewski is excited to meet community needs.
“It’s an opportunity for the residents to utilise the pool and hopefully they do get behind it,” he said.
When the Bulletin visited during the Easter holidays, locals were using the extra time to catch up on school holiday fun, continue their swimming routine or enjoy the few weeks left of warmth.
More than 15 people had purchased an April extension pass.
Mick said the pool’s low-cost facilities offered a fun day out for the whole family.
Opening hours have been adjusted on Anzac Day to 12pm, catering to morning services.
Mick thanked Council for the opportunity to have the pool’s opening times extended.
