You are the food you eat

Core Strength vs Activation

A big highlight of our soon to be yoga retreat is the food.

Ayurvedic eating using a plant-based menu with a bit of dairy and ghee.

The menu uses real, organic food and spices, sourced locally and cooked with love.

So why do yoga and other spiritual traditions put such an emphasis on the quality of the food?

Because the vibration and quality of the food you eat, defines what you are.

Food has been used as a political weapon for thousands of years.

Starve out the opponent, make the quality of the food so poor that they become sick, poisoned and compliant – you win the war.

This happens now on a global scale.

Cheap industrial food farms churning out food so laced with roundup residue and other herbicides that this same food has contributed to the global spike in allergies and gut issues.

These crops make up the fast-food industry.

Add to this globalisation, where the excess of this cheap industrial crop is dumped at very low prices in third world countries.

The local farmers can’t compete and go out of business.

You can change this cycle of abuse.

Regard the food on your plate as the last step of a chain of events over which your purchasing power had quite a lot of control.

From that organic seed to that regenerative farmer, to that local market, to the love that was put into cooking that food – the end product will be delicious, nourishing and sustainable.
