World Day of Prayer

Each year on the first Friday of March, the World Day of Prayer is held all over the world, in tiny communities, as well as large cities.

The same programme is followed world wide, and each year this is prepared by a different country.

The 2025 WDP has been lovingly prepared by the women of the Cook Islands. The Cook Islands is a majority Christian nation, where the people are driven by a strong sense of community, and cultural values that come from their belief in God. The theme they have chosen this year is “I made you wonderful.”

The WDP on Mt Tamborine will be held at 9.30 am on Friday 7th March.

The service is being coordinated by the Liberty Baptist Church, and will be held at the Salvation Army Fairhaven. There will be a collection during the service, and the proceeds are distributed world wide. The driveway to Fairhaven is opposite Contour Road. Everyone is welcome, and morning tea will be served afterwards.
