Droopy sunflower

This sunflower that popped up in the backyard chicken coop looked a little droopy in the wet, but it brightened our morning anyway.

What’s really fascinating about this sunflower is there are so many flower buds on the one plant. It’s been exciting to see little bits of yellow peeking through as each bud starts to open up.

Not bad for a plant that just sprung up out of nowhere.
