From rainforest skywalks and treetop adventures to craft distilleries and charming bed-and-breakfasts, Tamborine Mountain’s tourism experiences have earned a place among Queensland’s best.
The 2025 Best of Queensland Experiences program, run by Tourism and Events Queensland, has recognised 2,341 operators across the state who deliver consistent, high-quality experiences for visitors.
Among them, 534 achieved perfect scores based on a 100-point evaluation scale.
Tamborine Mountain was strongly represented in this year’s list, reflecting the region’s reputation for boutique tourism, artisan products, and natural beauty.
Among the local operators featured were the Bearded Dragon Hotel, Camelot Boutique Accommodation, Old Church Bed and Breakfast, Tamborine Mountain Bed and Breakfast, Tamborine Mountain Glades, Tamborine Mountain Distillery, Witches Falls Winery and Cellar Door, Grand Chameleon, North Stores, Picnic Real Food Bar, Tamborine Mountain Coffee Plantation, Tamborine Rainforest Skywalk, TreeTop Challenge, Dig IT and The Polish Place.
Tourism Minister Andrew Powell said the program aims to set a high benchmark for excellence.
“Our tourism operators are the people on the ground who bring our beautiful State to life for more than 28 million visitors each year,” he said.
Tourism and Events Queensland CEO Craig Davidson noted the growth of digital capabilities as a key factor in improving the visitor experience, with more than 3,400 Queensland operators now offering direct online bookings – more than double the figure five years ago.
“This significant uptake in tourism capability shows the importance of the program in setting best practice criteria for businesses to strive towards,” Mr Davidson said.
