In a display of sportsmanship and solidarity, players from Beaudesert Kingfishers Junior and Senior Rugby League and Beaudesert Warriors are raising awareness of domestic and family violence by wearing orange socks at their home games.

Kingfishers’ players donned the orange socks at their 13 May home games and Beaudesert Warriors players were set to wear orange socks at their 19 May home game.

Both codes got on board with the initiative in support of Zonta Club of Beaudesert, which is raising awareness through Domestic and Family Violence Prevention Month in May.

Beaudesert Zonta Advocacy Champion Felicity Gamble welcomed the support and said a united approach was required to tackle the issue.
