Highly experienced journalist Peter Chapman has joined the Beaudesert Bulletin and Canungra Times team for 2024 in a significant boost to the future development of both publications.
Peter’s experience covers senior editor roles in television, newspapers and magazines.
He has been recognised with national and state journalism awards during a career which spans over more than 35 years.
He commenced his career in Sydney in community newspapers before moving into regional television in Northern NSW and Cairns.
He then moved to Canberra where he was the on-air sports presenter on Channel TEN for 10 years before joining the Canberra Raiders and then the New Zealand Breakers NBL Club.
On his return to Australia he worked with the major APN newspaper group and was the editor of the Grafton Daily Examiner, Fraser Coast Chronicle and Queensland Times.
During this time he was named the group’s Editor of the Year.
Peter’s vast experience will assist both magazines as we look to grow our publications and continue to cement their standing as the trusted news source in the Scenic Rim.
