Mercy is seen

‘Mercy is the action of doing something about the suffering in our world’.

In a world, full of war and waste – country is calling to us: Mercy. Mercy. Mercy.

More than ever before, mercy is what our world needs, especially this Christmas. He gives us courage to heal the gaps in the world. For he first saw the gap between us and God, our deep need to be loved. God alone awakens out hearts.

I write and share with you Jesus spirit of mercy is alive in Beaudesert today.

For the first time, we held ABIDE night right here in Beaudesert. Where 80+ youth united together from Catholic, Baptist and Pentecostal churches to experience God’s love. Beyond this at McAuley College 80+ students have been involved in McAuley lunchtime youth events coming to know Jesus more. 40+ students encountered Jesus at Ignite Summer Camp, Ignite Conference and BCE Rise Day.

An overflow of this mercy was seen at McAuley when 20+ students braved the Vinnies Sleepout, raising $400. Mercy was seen, when the spirit of Reconciliation shone on the Inaugural Cherbourg Immersion.

The Elders told us this is where many Mununjali peoples were taken years ago and today Cherbourg is one of the least developed places in Australia, just four hours away from Beaudesert! God opened the hearts of all pilgrims to deeply question how they can respond in mercy.

This Christmas time, please pray for Cherbourg community.

Let’s open our hearts more to Jesus, to answer his call to be mercy in the world.
