God is present in Beaudesert.
My highlight of the last three years in Beaudesert was ABIDE, on Aug 9th.
Where 82 young people, united together in faith for Beaudesert’s first combined praise & worship night! It was so special as Beaudesert’s three youth groups YMAD – Beaudesert Baptist, Youth Ignited – Harvest Point Church and Mercy Youth – St Mary’s Catholic Church united together.
It was such a privilege to organise the night with Ryan Mitchell from Youth Ignited. The night included large outdoor games, food, talk and time of praise & worship lead by Youth Ignited high school youth band!
We wanted to unite Christians together in Beaudesert, so all know they are not alone and that God is truly present in Beaudesert!
We shared:
1. God is present in nature – just look at all the mountains and trees all around us.
We are just like fish, in the ocean of God’s love all around us.
2. God is present in community – in Beaudesert time and time again, I have witnessed people going above and beyond in times of need.
3. God is present in YOU – God is so deeply all our hearts. When we simply be still and recognise God, we realise we have never been alone and never will be.
At the end, young people left saying:
– ‘It was so good to see _(name)_ from school’
– ‘I’m on fire for Jesus and love Him even more’
– ‘When you prayed for me, I felt this warmth all round me, like a big hug.
I now know God is real.’
God is here in Beaudesert. He lead the night and lead the all 82 young people there, including me.
