Woodhill local Shontae Iafeta has joined the Beaudesert Bulletin and Canungra Times team for 2024 as a cadet journalist seeking to do more with the Scenic Rim community.
Her love for Scenic Rim sparked from her previous job at Woolworths Beaudesert where she enjoyed building connections and sharing stories with customers and staff.
Shontae is currently enrolled at the University of Queensland studying a dual degree in Journalism and Arts, majoring in Political Science and Writing. She hopes to develop skills that cater to all different types of journalism.
Her experience covers a cadetship for Local News Publications, where she mainly writes for Logan West News, as well as running her own segment in Emmaus College’s newsletters ‘The Emmaus Post’ called Sit down with Shontae during her graduating year of high school.
Shontae strives to be a valued member in the team and hopes to create friendships along the way.
Beaudesert Bulletin Editor, Keer Moriarty welcomed Shontae to the team.
