THE circus has come and gone from Beaudesert, but the locals who packed the Big Top during its short three-day stay are sure to be eager to see Ashton Circus return.
From watching blindfolded knife throwing to the dare-devil motor-bike riding in the ‘Globe of Death’, the circus had locals enthralled.
While opening night had to be postponed because of the weather, it didn’t deter packed crowds from attending the rest of the days it was in town.
Some acts included crowd participation where a brave volunteer was handcuffed to a board in line with a blindfolded knife-thrower.
Through the nail-biting act, the crowd couldn’t look away in anticipation for what happens next.
The audience was quick to call bluff as the blindfolded knife-thrower never threw a dart.
As the performance came to its end, their fusion of humour and chaos proved to be a great family day out.
