HANDMADE treasures decorated the Centre at the third biennial Quilt, Pottery and Craft Show in Beaudesert last month.
Cancer Council Queensland organised entries from various local quilters, potters and craftspeople with more than 300 people attending over the weekend.
Guests voted on their favourite entries for the ‘People’s Choice’ awards.
The winners included Shirley Balmer for her painted applique quilt of flowers and Julie Edwards for her mythical-inspired pottery.
Coordinator Wendy Lohmann was pleased with the success of this year’s show, and said she appreciated the outstanding support they received.
She especially thanked those who entered their quilts because, in her words, “there’s no show without quilts.”
Now she’s looking forward to doing it all again in two years’ time.
